Applicants to graduate programs at The University of Texas at Austin should complete the appropriate application for admission. Please note that applications can take up to 72 hours to load to the University of Texas at Austin system after submission of the application form.
Graduate Program. The graduate program in the Department of Civil, Architectural and Environmental Engineering is known worldwide for developing students into leaders in engineering practice, research, and education. We welcome applications from highly qualified and motivated students for the M.S.E. and Ph.D. degrees.
The Graduate School was established in 1910 as the Graduate Department, but the first master’s degree was awarded in 1886. The first doctoral degree was awarded in 1915. More than 11,000 graduate students are now enrolled, and more than 800 doctoral degrees and 2,800 master’s degrees are awarded each year.
