Tyrone Davis (born Tyrone D. Fettson [2] or Tyrone D. Branch, October 3, 1937 – February 9, 2005) [3] (although many websites have his date of birth as May 4th 1938), was an American blues and soul singer with a long list of hit records over more than 20 years.

His parents, Willie Branch and Ora Lee Jones, were both sharecroppers, but eventually chose to leave Mississippi to go north.
