The Office UK gave birth to The Office US. UK version is the original and only has 3 seasons so goes very fast. It's a British comedy, may not be for everyone (outside UK). Rick Gervais and Stephen Merchant creators of UK version) wrote the pilot and few other episodes for US version and they are the executive producer.

The latter version had far more seasons than the former, allowing for further character development, proving where the characters' commonalities lie and where they are pretty opposite.
