7 de jun. de 2017 · Salt Creek Interpretive Trail is a level, 1-mile long boardwalk loop along what would be considered a pitiful creek anywhere outside of Death Valley National Park. Here it is extraordinary! The salinated stream is home to the Salt Creek Pupfish, a unique and bizarre creature that can survive in these harsh conditions.
Try this 0.8-mile loop trail near Death Valley, California. Generally considered an easy route, it takes an average of 15 min to complete. This is a very popular area for walking, so you'll likely encounter other people while exploring. The best times to visit this trail are November through April.
The boardwalk hike along Salt Creek in Death Valley offers up a chance to see some rare pupfish in action -- not to mention a supremely unexpected marsh-y landscape filled with life in an otherwise desolate area of the park.
