Located along the Chattahoochee River north of Atlanta, Roswell, Georgia, is full of things to do, places to stay, great restaurants and events all year. Roswell's history dates back to the early days of Georgia's statehood. In the 1830s, a man named Roswell King visited the area and built a cotton mill on Vickery Creek.

General Information. The City of Roswell was founded by Roswell King in 1839 who came to the area in the mid-1830s. Roswell King established the Roswell Manufacturing Company and built a mill to harness the power of the local rivers to make textiles.
