  5. Video – Pete Grant. I thoroughly enjoyed working on this song for Liz. She was patient with me in achieving her vision of the role of the pedal steel in the song. There’s a contrast between working together in the studio and living 3000 miles away where I send MP3s that ask, “How’s this one?” I’m glad we persevered.

  6. Garcia – Pete Grant. Jerry Garcia. I wrote this August 9, 1995, the day of his passing. When I think of Garcia, I think of him unselfishly encouraging and inspiring others, his joy of creation and discovery, and his love of music. I am deeply saddened by his passing. For him: because he wasn’t really done this lifetime. For us: for the same reason.
