He rose to prominence in the 1950s playing Jeff Stone on The Donna Reed Show. Peterson pursued a singing career in the 1960s.
Paul considers himself a personality singer and the object of the appearances is not to become the world's greatest singer, but to build drawing power and to entertain. He enjoys the personal contact with the young people who come to hear him, often joining them in the audience or going out with them for coffee or soft drinks.
