Hank Brian Marvin (born Brian Robson Rankin, [1] 28 October 1941) is an English multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, and songwriter. He is known as the lead guitarist for the Shadows. Hank Marvin. English guitarist born 28 October 1941, in Newcastle-Upon-Tyne, UK. Lead guitarist for band The Shadows. He was also the owner of the first imported Fender Stratocaster guitar in the UK, which was bought for him by friend and colleague Cliff Richard and later stolen by Bruce Welch .
