Known as the ‘Impromptu Festival’, the festival was thrown together at a moment’s notice and was highlighted by the drop-down in headlining quality. Gone are Bowie, Pete Townshend and The Grateful Dead. They were replaced by acts like Pedro, Tribe, Nik Turner’s Sphinx and White Island.
