Francis Edward Ifield OAM (30 November 1937 – 18 May 2024) was a British-born Australian country music singer and guitarist who often incorporated yodelling into his music. Born in the United Kingdom, Ifield grew up in rural Australia where he started performing hillbilly music in his teens.
An original autographed program from the December 12, 1962 show at the Embassy cinema in Peterborough, England which featured headliner Frank Ifield, and The Beatles. This unusual combination of acts resulted from a phone call by Brian Epstein to Arthur Howes, then the country's biggest tour promoter, offering the Beatles.
