I'm honestly shocked that Bitter Harvest wasn't changed. Witcher. Completely unfun. I think I need a break from this game. I've been wanting to take it slow and enjoy the awesome rtx graphics, but I don't love getting 40 fps and crashes. Twice I beat Bitter Harvest while saving the brother and the game crashed.

I failed Bitter Harvest without any regrets! It didn't affect any trophy and it wasn't a particularly interesting quest either.(my subjective opinion of course).
So, in the end, after another few tries and fails, I did end up reloading - I just needed to redo the "burn all the dead bodies for the priest" quest again, which wasn't that bad.. I do think it's weird how CDPR distributed quests around the open world - you're almost certain to pick up the "burning the dead bodies" quest almost as soon as you get into Velen, as it's on the roadside on the way ...
If Albin dies but at least one of his men survives, then a surviving looter will pay Geralt 20 once all the monsters in the area are defeated, and the quest will complete (earning 50 ). The quest fails if Albin and his entire team die, but Geralt still receives 15 .
