The Cooper Union is comprised of Schools of Architecture, Art, Engineering and a Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences. Each school offers specialized programs and undergraduate degrees.
The Cooper Union offers a Master of Engineering degree with areas of concentration in chemical engineering, civil engineering, electrical engineering, and mechanical engineering.
The Cooper Union, est. 1859, grants bachelor’s degrees in art, architecture, and engineering. Undergraduates receive a 50% tuition scholarship.
Founded by inventor, industrialist and philanthropist Peter Cooper in 1859, The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art offers education in art, architecture and engineering, as well as courses in the humanities and social sciences.
Curriculum. Bachelor's Degree Requirements. The requirements for the bachelor’s degree programs must be completed within four years of first registration, except with the explicit consent of the dean/associate dean.
DEGREE REQUIREMENTS FOR STUDENTS ENTERING PRIOR TO FALL 2022. Candidates for the Bachelor of Fine Arts degree are expected to complete 130 credits within eight semesters of study and within the following disciplinary credit distribution.
