The story is set in a distant future, where a group of teens are mysteriously teleported into a giant, stone maze. Not only has their memory been cleared, but they also have no indication as to why they have ended up in this position and what means they must take to escape.
Chapter 17 Summary. Inside the Maze, everything is dark and it takes Thomas a while to collect his thoughts. The reality of what he has just done terrifies him, but he manages to find his way to Minho and Alby. Minho tells Thomas that what he just did was stupid, not brave.
Chapter 1. In the dark of an elevator, a teenaged boy awakes with no memories other than that his name is Thomas. When the elevator comes to a halt, the doors open and Thomas finds himself surrounded by around fifty teenaged boys. Their leader, a boy in his late-teens named Alby, welcomes him to the Glade.
