28 de nov. de 2017 · The accidents in 1988 were horrendous and that no-one was killed during the season was nothing short of a miracle. It all came to a head at Brands. Herbert had been heading out of Surtees Corner, and at the forefront of his thinking was making up for the poor start in part two of an already-controversial race.
John Paul Herbert (born 25 June 1964) is a British former racing driver and former television pundit for Sky Sports F1. He raced in Formula One from 1989 to 2000, for seven different teams, winning three races and placing 4th in the 1995 World Drivers' Championship.

18 de dic. de 2018 · Foitek turned in on Herbert during a duel and the British driver crashed hard in the tyre wall. His head hit the crash barrier and Johnny sustained a serious concussion. The diagnosis made by Professor Sid Watkins was clear. In the hospital the London Hospital in Whitechapel, Herbert was told that he was not allowed to ride the next race in Pau.
