The Firelights are a group of Zaunites who were dedicated to disrupting Silco's Shimmer business, and thus his control over their home. When an opportunity is found, the group would interfere with Silco's business transactions, destroying their shipments of Shimmer as much as they could.
The symbol of the firelights first reminded me of the painting on Ekko's face, which I think clearly represents an hourglass. Due to Ekko's connection with time (the watch etc), I think it would make sense that he was inspired by the hourglass to come up with the symbol, as the firelights' leader.
Firelights is the name used to refer to bioluminescent insects native to Zaun. [1] [2] A group of Zaunite survivors who banded together named themselves after them.
The Firelights knock out Vi and Caitlyn and kidnap them—they also injure Jinx, steal the hextech gemstone from her, and escape her wrath. Having eluded Jinx, the Firelights take Caitlyn and Vi to their home base to be interrogated.
Perhaps that's why Ekko named his gang the Firelights, in remembrance of the people and community that was lost. This would also make Jinx's attack on the bridge even more symbolically charged, as she transformed the firelights, a symbol of love and family, into a tool of destruction.
27 de mar. de 2023 · The Firelights are a rebel group introduced in the latter episodes of Arcane season 1, appearing for the first time after the time jump that occurs in episode 4, "Happy Progress Day." They are introduced when a group of Silco's men is about to send a huge shipment of Shimmer, Silco's dangerous recreational drug.
