Boris Stepanovich Zhitkov (Russian: Бори́с Степа́нович Житко́в; 11 September [O.S. 30 August] 1882 – 19 October 1938) was a writer from the Russian Empire and later the Soviet Union, mainly known as the author of children's books and the novel Viktor Vavich about the 1905 Russian Revolution.
Boris Mikhailovich Zhitkov ( Russian: Борис Михайлович Житков; 20 September 1872 – 2 April 1943) was a Russian and Soviet explorer, zoologist, hunter, biogeographer, and writer. He served as a professor at Moscow University and at the Petrovsky Agricultural Academy.

Boris Stepanovich Zhitkov (Russian: Борис Степанович Житков; 11 September 1882 — 19 October 1938) was a Russian author, mainly of children's books. Zhitkov was born in Novgorod; his father was a mathematics teacher and his mother a pianist.
A little boy writes a letter to the children’s book author Boris Zhitkov, but Postman Number 5 delivers it to his Leningrad apartment after Zhitkov has left for London. The letter is forwarded to London, where it misses him again. It doesn’t reach him in Berlin and has to be redirected to Brazil.
