Ahmad ibn Ali al-Rifa'i (Arabic: أَحْمَد ابْن عَلِي ٱلرِّفَاعِي, romanized: Aḥmad ibn ʽAlī al-Rifāʽī) was a Sunni Muslim preacher, ascetic, mystic, jurist, and theologian, known for being the eponymous founder of the Rifaʽi tariqa (Sufi order) of Islam.
The Rifa'i order (Arabic: الطريقة الرفاعية, romanized: al-Ṭarīqa al-Rifāʽiyya) is a prominent Sufi order within Sunni Islam founded by Ahmad al-Rifa'i and developed in the lower Iraq marshlands between Wasit and Basra.

Ahmad al-Rifai رحمة الله عليه was the founder of the Rifai Sufi order. His tomb and shrine is located in southern Iraq, and is different from the one announced destroyed by the ISIS terrorists in 2014. However, another shrine for him is located in the Al Rifai Mosque in Egypt.
