This is a brief biography of the Imam famously known as Imam Az-Zuhri or Muhammad Ibn Shihab Az-Zuhri. He lived from 50 Hijri to 124 Hijri (741 CE). He is a mid-ranking Tabi’i since he met prominent sahabah including Anas bin Malik(RA) and Abdullah ibn Umar(RA). He memorised the Quran in 80 nights!
Shihāb b. ʿAbdallāh b. al-Ḥārith b. Zuhra b. Kilāb, better known as Ibn Shihāb al-Zuhrī (d. 124/742), was one of the founders of Islamic tradition in the widest sense of the word. After a life rich in pioneering scientific achievements, he died at his estate where he retired in his later years.

8 de ene. de 2020 · Kilāb b. Murrat b. Kaʿb b. Luʾayy b. Ghālib al-Qurashī al-Zuhrī al-Madanī is famously known as Ibn Shihāb al-Zuhrī. Some said that he was born in the year AH 50 or 51. [1] While Ibn Kathīr mentioned that he was born in AH 58. [2] Zuhrī was short in stature.
