William Hunt Block (born April 2, 1954) is an American film producer who was CEO of Miramax from April 2017 to October 2023. His producing credits include W. (2008), District 9 (2009), Fury (2014), Bad Moms (2016), Dirty Grandpa (2016), Halloween (2018), and Halloween Kills (2021).
In 2017, Bill was appointed CEO of Miramax, where he was tasked with spearheading a complete production reboot of what was a primarily library-based company, turning it into a film and television production business.
Bill Block is an independent investor, producer and financier based in Los Angeles with a focus on film, television and e-commerce. He has produced, financed, or distributed dozens of theatrical feature films, such as District 9, Elysium, and Bad Moms, and worked with renowned filmmakers like Oliver Stone and Steven Soderbergh.
