Yeung Ku-wan (19 December 1861 – 11 January 1901) [1] was a Chinese revolutionary of the late Qing dynasty. In 1890, Yeung started the Furen Literary Society in British Hong Kong to spread ideas of revolution against the Qing dynasty and to establish a republic in China.

Yang Ch'iu-yiin, known as Yeung Ku Wan in his time, was born on December i6, i86i, in Hong Kong, where his father was a school teacher and government interpreter. Yang's grandfather, a native of Fukien Province, was said to have been a district magistrate, a fact which cannot be verified.
