Penelope Ying-Yen Wong (born 5 November 1968) is an Australian politician who is serving as the current minister for Foreign Affairs and leader of the Government in the Senate in the Albanese government since 2022.
Penny Wong is a Senator for the Australian Labor Party and the first woman to lead the government and the opposition in the Senate. She has held various portfolios, including climate change, finance, and foreign affairs, and is a proud South Australian who was born in Malaysia.
