Glendal William Poshard (born October 30, 1945) is an American educator and former politician who served as a Illinois State Senator and U.S. Congressman, serving five terms in Congress from 1989 to 1999. He was also an Illinois gubernatorial candidate, and president of the Southern Illinois University system.
