Kevin Allen Hassett (born March 20, 1962) is an American economist who is a former Senior Advisor and Chairman of the Council of Economic Advisers in the Trump administration from 2017 to 2019.
Kevin Hassett is the Brent R. Nicklas Distinguished Fellow in Economics at the Hoover Institution. Hassett recently served as the Chairman of the Council of Economic Advisers since 2017. Prior to his White House service, Hassett was an economist at the American Enterprise Institute.

Kevin Hassett is currently Vice President and Managing Director of The Lindsey Group, and a Distinguished Visiting Fellow at the Hoover Institution. Kevin was senior advisor to President Trump and also the 29th Chairman of the White House’s Council of Economic Advisers.
Dr. Kevin Hassett served as the 29th Chairman of the President's Council of Economic Advisers from 2017 through 2019. He was recently called back to the White House to serve as a Senior Advisor to President Trump to support data-driven decisions in response to the Coronavirus.
