Gyaincain Norbu. Chökyi Gyalpo, also referred to by his secular name Gyaincain Norbu or Gyaltsen Norbu (born 13 February 1990), is considered the 11th Panchen Lama by the government of the People's Republic of China (PRC). He is also the vice president of the Buddhist Association of China.
Gyaincain Norbu (Tibetan: ཆོས་ཀྱི་རྒྱལ་པོ་་, Wylie: Chos-kyi Rgyal-po, ZYPY: Qoigyijabu; also Gyaltsen Norbu, born 13 February 1990) is, according to the government of the People's Republic of China, the eleventh Panchen Lama of Tibetan Buddhism.
26 de jul. de 2021 · Gyaltsen Norbu, the China-appointed Panchen Lama, visited Sichuan in July 2021 but was snubbed by ordinary Tibetans who had been told to show up and greet him. Tibetans widely distrust and reject his legitimacy as the reincarnation of the Dalai Lama's candidate, who vanished into Chinese custody in 1995.

On 17 May, the Chinese government abducted the recognized Panchen Lama. Then in November 1995 they selected a different boy, Gyaincain Norbu, using the golden urn lottery system. This decision was immediately denounced by the Dalai Lama.
