William Eden, 1st Baron Auckland, PC (Ire), FRS (3 April 1745 – 28 May 1814) was a British diplomat and politician who sat in the House of Commons from 1774 to 1793.

Sir William Morton Eden, 7th and 5th Baronet JP DL (4 April 1849 – 20 February 1915) was a British politician and artist. His third son was Anthony Eden, 1st Earl of Avon, who served as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom.
William Eden, 1st Baron Auckland, was the third son and Morton Eden, 1st Baron Henley, the fifth son of the third Baronet, of West Auckland (see Baron Auckland and Baron Henley for more information on these branches of the family).
Politician and diplomat. A younger son of the well-known Durham family, Eden trained as a lawyer after leaving Oxford. He entered Parliament in 1774 for Woodstock and quickly established himself as a useful man, with a particular interest in economic matters and in penal reform.
