Jimmie Spheeris (November 5, 1949 – July 4, 1984) was an American singer-songwriter who released four albums in the 1970s on the Columbia Records and Epic Records labels. Spheeris died in 1984, at the age of 34, after a motorcycle accident.

Jimmie Spheeris. Californian artist, born: 5 November 1949, Alabama, USA. Died: 4 July 1984. Spheeris was the son of a traveling carnival family who settled in Venice, California. After the death of his father, Spheeris then moved to New York City to develop a songwriting career.
The poetic singer/songwriter Jimmie Spheeris was born November 5, 1949. His debut LP, Isle of View, was issued on Columbia in 1971 and made him the subject of a rabid cult following, a fan base boosted with the 1973 release of The Original Tap-Dancing Kid.
