Don Lamond. Donald Douglas Lamond Jr. (August 18, 1920 – December 23, 2003) [1] was an American jazz drummer . Biography. Born in Oklahoma City, [1] Lamond attended the Peabody Conservatory in Baltimore in the early 1940s, and played with Sonny Dunham and Boyd Raeburn at the outset of his career. [1] .
