Russell’s glorious angelic vocal, paired with a resounding acoustic guitar celebrates “all that we’ve done/lost/won, all that we’ve seen/heard/dreamed and more”.
Sparks is an American pop and rock duo formed by brothers Ron (keyboards) and Russell Mael (vocals) in Los Angeles.
Steven Nistor was born in Detroit. After a short stint playing piano, alto saxophone, and trumpet, he was stopped cold by a set of braces that forced him onto the drum chair. By the end of high school he was entrenched in the jazz and blues scene, as well as playing with Black Sabbath-like rock bands.
Steven Nistor has been recording in Los Angeles, New York, Portland and Detroit with producers Tucker Martine, Scott Litt, Steve Albini, Warren Defever, Andy Smith, Daniel Lanois and Danger Mouse, has toured the world with Sparks, and is a member of the bands Brian Blade's Mama Rosa and WL.
