Mason Durell Betha (born August 27, 1975), better known by his mononym Mase (formerly Murda Mase and stylized as Ma$e), is an American rapper. Best known for his work with Sean "Puff Daddy" Combs' Bad Boy Records, he signed with the label in 1996 and quickly found mainstream recognition as Combs' hype man.

Biografía. Se crio en Harlem, Nueva York, y dio comienzo a su carrera musical como cantante de gangsta rap hardcore. En el grupo Children of the Corn, él se hacía llamar Murder Mase y rapeaba con Big L, Cam'ron y Bloodshed. En 1996 firmó con la Bad Boy Records de Puff Daddy.
