Arthur Nikisch (húngaro: Artúr Nikisch) (12 de octubre de 1855-23 de enero de 1922) fue un director de orquesta húngaro que trabajó sobre todo en Alemania. Es considerado como un intérprete extraordinario de la música de Bruckner, Chaikovski, Beethoven y Liszt.
Arthur Nikisch (12 October 1855 – 23 January 1922) was a Hungarian conductor who performed internationally, holding posts in Boston, London, Leipzig and—most importantly—Berlin. He was considered an outstanding interpreter of the music of Bruckner, Tchaikovsky, Beethoven and Liszt.
Arthur Nikisch (Lébényi-Szentmiklós, 1855 - Leipzig, 1922) Director de orquesta húngaro. Fue discípulo de J. Hellmersberger (violín) y F. Dessoff (composición) en el Conservatorio de Viena. After study in Vienna, in 1878 Nikisch was appointed choral coach at the Leipzig Opera , becoming principal conductor in 1879.
