4 de may. de 2013 · Sid Selvidge, a Memphis-based singer, guitarist and cultural treasure, and an ardent champion of blues and roots music, who helped launch and served as executive producer of the internationally syndicated Beale Street Caravan radio program, died May 2 at Methodist University Hospital.
SID SELVIDGE. Founder of Peabody Records, which released albums by Alex Chilton and Cybill Shepherd. Member of Mud Boy & The Neutrons with Jim Dickinson, Jimmy Crosthwait, and Lee Baker. Founder of the internationally broadcast radio program, Beale Street Caravan. His son Steve is also a Memphis musician and a member of the group The Hold Steady.
