The Divine Comedy (Italian: Divina Commedia [diˈviːna komˈmɛːdja]) is an Italian narrative poem by Dante Alighieri, begun c. 1308 and completed around 1321, shortly before the author's death. It is widely considered the pre-eminent work in Italian literature [1] and one of the greatest works of Western literature . [2]

The Divine Comedy es un grupo de indie pop originario de Irlanda del Norte y formado en 1989. La banda está liderada por Neil Hannon, compositor, cantante, guitarrista, pianista y único miembro estable del proyecto, aunque a lo largo de los años han pasado por él una larga lista de músicos.
The plot of The Divine Comedy is simple: a man, generally assumed to be Dante himself, is miraculously enabled to undertake an ultramundane journey, which leads him to visit the souls in Hell, Purgatory, and Paradise. He has two guides: Virgil, who leads him through the Inferno and Purgatorio, and Beatrice, who introduces him to Paradiso.
