Panama is located in Central America, bordering both the Caribbean Sea and the Pacific Ocean, between Colombia and Costa Rica. It mostly lies between latitudes 7° and 10°N, and longitudes 77° and 83°W (a small area lies west of 83°). Its location on the Isthmus of Panama is strategic.
Antiguo cabildo de Panamá en 1876. La ciudad fue reconstruida en 1673 por Antonio Fernández de Córdoba, a 8 km al suroeste de la ciudad original. Esta ubicación conforma actualmente el Casco Antiguo de la ciudad. Para 1790 la ciudad se recupera y vuelve a tener una población de 7000 habitantes.
