Stuck in their late Grandfather's country cottage with no TV, Anthea, Robert and Chris are resigned to a boring week until they find a mouldy old carpet and a strange golden egg. But when the egg accidentally falls into the bonfire, it hatches into the mythical firebird, the Gloden Phoenix.
Sinopsis: Una madre compra a los niños una nueva alfombra para reemplazar el de la guardería que fue destruida en un incendio accidental. Los niños encuentran un huevo en la alfombra que eclosiona en un Phoenix . El Phoenix explica que la alfombra es una mágica que les concederá tres deseos por día.
Pero cuando el huevo cae por accidente en la hoguera, se convierte en el mítico pájaro de fuego, el Gloden Phoenix. Así empieza un viaje increíble y la aventura de su vida, mientras el Fénix los lleva a una tierra de encanto, magia y fantasía, mediante de una alfombra mágica voladora.
