Lyon Arboretum has over seven miles of hiking trails and boasts more than 6,000 taxa of tropical and sub-tropical plants on our nearly 200 acres.

The Harold L. Lyon Arboretum is a 200-acre (0.8 km 2) arboretum and botanical garden managed by the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa located at the upper end of Mānoa Valley in Hawaiʻi . Admissions. ALL visitors are required to sign in at the Visitors Center. Currently, reservations are required. Register for free through Eventbrite by following the link on our homepage. Admission for the general public is free; however, there is a suggested donation of $10 per person.
Highlights. Lyon Arboretum serves as an important site for botanical research and conservation. The arboretum features several captivating gardens, including the Stemmermann Memorial Garden, Mapes Memorial Garden, Young Memorial Garden, Betty Ho Memorial Garden, Native Hawaiian Garden, and the Beatrice H. Krauss Ethnobotanical Garden.
