Ali Hatami (en farsi علی حاتمی Teherán, 14 de agosto de 1944 – Ibídem, 7 de diciembre de 1996) fue un director, guionista, director artístico y diseñador de vestuario iraní. One of Iran's most influential directors. Was the first director in Iranian cinema to make a musical comedy in his remarkable film Hassan, the Bald (1970). His Tombstone in Tehran's Beheshte Zahra Cemetery says in Persian: "Aein Cheragh Khamooshi Nist" (It is not the nature of light to be dark).
