Peter Vermeersch (born 1959 in Waregem) is a Belgian composer, clarinet player and producer. He is a main character in several Belgian bands such as X-Legged Sally , A Group and the Flat Earth Society .

Born in 1959 in Waregam, Belgium, bandleader, composer, and reedman Peter Vermeersch began his musical career playing clarinet and saxophone in the group Union, which in 1981 performed music for Echafaudages, a production by the theater group Radies.
