Robert Maxwell Deans (born 4 September 1959) is a New Zealand rugby union coach and former player, currently the head coach of Japanese club Saitama Wild Knights. He was head coach of the Australian national team between 2008 and 2013.

Robert Christopher Deans began playing rugby at Haddington RFC at the age of six. In 2022, he lead the school’s U18 as Co-Captain to the Scottish Rugby Schools Cup. Robbie has represented Scotland at U16, U18 and U20 level. He featured four times for Scotland U20 during the 2023 Under-20 Six Nations.
