Ed Cooley (born September 10, 1969) is an American college basketball coach and currently the head coach of the Georgetown Hoyas men's basketball program. Cooley held the same position at Providence College from 2011 to 2023, and Fairfield University from 2006 to 2011.

'Providence is in the damn building': Ed Cooley, Friars advance to first Sweet 16 in 25 years
6 de sept. de 2022 · The 27 wins also marked the sixth time in his 11 seasons at Providence that his team earned 20 or more victories. Cooley also led the Friars to a 16-1 record at home, which is the squad's best mark since 1973-74 (16-0). In March, Cooley was named BIG EAST Coach of the Year. He became the first Friar coach to earn that honor.
He is the only Friar head coach to be named the BIG EAST Coach of the Year. In 16 seasons as a head coach, Cooley has a 313-210 record. When Cooley was hired in 2011, the Friars had finished under .500 in six of the 10 previous seasons and had been to just one NCAA Tournament (2004) in that 10-year span.
