Konon Trofimovich Molody ( Russian: Ко́нон Трофи́мович Моло́дый; 17 January 1922 – 9 September 1970) was a Soviet intelligence officer, known in the West as Gordon Arnold Lonsdale.

Konon Molody (Gordon Lonsdale; 1922–1970) Konon Trofimovich Molody (Russian: Ко́нон Трофи́мович Моло́дый) was a Soviet intelligence officer. He was educated in the US from the age of seven, spending nine years in the country, before returning to Russia in 1938.
Gordon Arnold Lonsdale was a spy for the U.S.S.R. who in March 1961 was sentenced to 25 years in prison by a British court. Lonsdale’s family moved to Poland in 1932, where he served, under various aliases, in the underground during World War II.
Konon Molody was an ordinary Soviet intelligence agent posted to Britain. Unexpectedly for the KGB and himself, he became one of the richest people in the United Kingdom.
