Team jumping. Wilhelm "Willi" Melliger (26 July 1953 – 16 January 2018) was a Swiss equestrian and Olympic medalist. With his horse Calvaro V, he won two Olympic silver medals: the first in show jumping at the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta and the second as part of team jumping at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney .

Biography. A four-time Olympian in the equestrian events, Willi Melliger was twice a show jumping silver medalist, capped by his individual silver aboard Calvaro V at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics. He and Calvaro competed together from 1995 to 2001, also winning a team European Championship in 1995.

16 de ene. de 2018 · Sadly, Swiss great Wilhelm "Willi" Melliger (SUI) passed away earlier today. The 64-year-old Olympic Medalist left us after not being able to recover from health complications. He had been in coma since suffering a stroke last December.
