Vincent Frank Testaverde Sr. (/ t ɛ s t ə ˈ v ɜːr d i /; born November 13, 1963) is an American former football quarterback who played in the National Football League (NFL) for 21 seasons. He played college football at the University of Miami, where he earned consensus All-American and won the Heisman Trophy in 1986.

Vinny Testaverde. QB | RS Senior | University of Miami. Testaverde won Miami’s first Heisman Trophy while leading the Hurricanes to an undefeated regular season in 1986. Born in Brooklyn, New York, Testaverde went to school at Sewanhaka High in Floral Park on Long Island, and graduated in 1981.
One of the most celebrated players in a Hurricane program stocked with mythical talent, Miami’s Vinny Testaverde claimed virtually every major award during his senior season in 1986. He becomes the sixth Hurricane to be inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame.
