Andrea Checchi (21 October 1916 – 29 March 1974) was a prolific Italian film actor. Biography. Born in Florence, Checchi appeared in over 150 films in his lengthy career, which spanned from 1934 to his death in 1974. The son of a painter, he studied painting at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Firenze. [1] .
Figlio del pittore fiorentino Arturo Checchi, fu pittore a sua volta, esponendo le sue opere in diverse mostre personali. Esordì come attore nel 1934, a diciotto anni, sotto la regia di Alessandro Blasetti con 1860. Meno di un anno più tardi interpretò un ruolo secondario in Vecchia guardia, sempre diretto da Blasetti.
