Kathleen Collins (March 18, 1942 – September 18, 1988) (also known as Kathleen Conwell, Kathleen Conwell Collins or Kathleen Collins Prettyman) was an American poet, playwright, writer, filmmaker, director, civil rights activist, and educator from Jersey City, New Jersey.
Kathleen Collins is a professor who studies retroelements, reverse transcriptases, and RNA biogenesis. She develops novel techniques for gene therapy and RNA-seq, and has been elected to the American Academy of Arts and Sciences.
