John Steiner (7 January 1941 – 31 July 2022) was an English actor. Tall, thin and gaunt, he attended the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art and performed on-stage for the Royal Shakespeare Company, but was best known to audiences for his roles in Italian films, several of which became cult classics.
John Steiner (1941-2022) was a character actor who played memorable villains in Italian cinema, such as Longinus in Caligula and Jaffar in Sinbad of the Seven Seas. He also appeared in British and West German productions, and retired from acting in 1991 to become a real estate agent in Los Angeles.
