Terrence William " Blondie " Chaplin (born 7 July 1951) is a South African singer and guitarist from Durban, where he played in the band the Flames in the mid to late 1960s. From 1972 to 1973, he was a member of the Beach Boys and contributed to their albums Carl and the Passions – "So Tough" (1972) and Holland (1973). [1]

The opening track, “Home,” features Blondie Chaplin on vocals and guitar. This track, particularly because of the vocal approach, reminds me of Peter Gabriel. It’s a cool song, and it uses some African rhythms (Anton Fig was born in South Africa).
During this time he composed and produced his solo album Figments, which features guests performances by Brian Wilson, Richie Havens, Ivan Neville, Ace Frehley, Blondie Chaplin, Chip Taylor, Oz Noy among many others.
