It was the fall of 1991 when I was approached by Rusty Cloud (my bandmate in the Jukes) to tour the UK with Ronnie Spector. Naturally, I was thrilled to work with a legend like Ronnie. Bandleader Jim Satten threw the band together, we did a few quick rehearsals, and off we went.

I had the pleasure of meeting Tom Petty once, and my nephew Michael asked me to share the story, so here goes: Back in the early 1990s I played a gig with Southside Johnny and the Jukes; a record company party in Malibu for a producer/executive's birthday.
