Burning Dorothy is the first album by the English singer-songwriter Thea Gilmore. It was released in November 1998 when she was 18, after she was discovered while doing work experience at Woodworm Studios.
Thea Eve Gilmore (born 25 November 1979), also known as Afterlight, is an English singer-songwriter. She has released more than twenty albums since her 1998 debut, Burning Dorothy . She has had three top 40 entries on the UK Albums Chart and one on the UK Singles Chart .

H ard to believe, but I’ve been reviewing Thea’s albums for 17 years, beginning with Burning Dorothy, her 1998 debut, recorded when she was 18 after being discovered by now husband Nigel Stonier when, as a 16-year-old, she was working as an intern at Fairport’s studios in Oxford.
