This album features Allan, Chad and Jimmy Johnson, as well as keyboardist Jim Cox. Around half the tunes are Chad compositions, and they are for the most part energetic fusion, as exemplified by the groovy opener “Holiday Insane” and “Tell Me”, which Allan would perform with his own band.

Allan Holdsworth (6 August 1946 – 15 April 2017) was a British jazz fusion and progressive rock guitarist, violinist and composer. He contributed to numerous bands, including Soft Machine, U.K., The Tony Williams Lifetime, Pierre Moerlen's Gong and Bruford, in addition to solo work.
