Pharoahe Monch (nacido como Troy Donald Jamerson el 31 de octubre de 1967) es un músico de hip-hop estadounidense. Empezó, junto con Prince Po (Larry Baskerville), con un grupo llamado Simply II Positive MC's, a finales de los 80, más tarde renombrado a Organized Konfusion.
Troy Donald Jamerson (born October 31, 1972), better known by his stage name Pharoahe Monch, is an American rapper known for his complex lyrics, intricate delivery, and internal and multisyllabic rhyme schemes.
The discography of Pharoahe Monch, an American hip hop artist, consists of four studio albums, eleven singles and two mixtapes.
Group members Prince Po and Pharoahe Monch, began their career under the name Simply II Positive MCs. Originally, Po was the rapper and Pharoahe was a beatboxer, but after realizing his rhyming skill, Monch joined Po as MC. The duo caught the attention of hip hop producer Paul C, who produced a demo for the group in the late 1980s.
1 de sept. de 2021 · In June 2007, Monch released his second solo album Desire to critical acclaim. Monch said about the album; “…it’s very soulful, very gospel, a fresh, new sound for me.” The album’s lead single was the self-produced track “Push”, with “Let’s Go” as its B-Side.
